Planning What Needs To Be Done Before The Big Move

We had better find something else to do on Sunday because I don't think that anyone is going to be in the mood for packing or much of anything else for our pending move next week. According to the forecast, it's going to be 37 C or close to 100 F... I was out to the garden earlier this morning and although it's only 26 c, it's already almost too hot to bare. I have to admit however, that the garden is loving it. We are going to have a great crop of cantaloupe and bambino melons... for the new owners to enjoy, but at least the two years we have lived here have taught us a few gardening tricks. As for the rest of the day, it is to pack more boxes... that we won't have to re-open before we actually head out on the long trip home. So, how far was your longest move from one house to the next??

Yes I can understand that heat will get to you. Nice for the new people moving in with the garden. Longest move was around 2000 miles.

My last move was from New York to Pennsylvania. I hope I don't ever have to move again. Good luck with your move next week

I'm a terrible traveller. Both husband and daughter are trying to pawn me off on each other. What can I say... I get bored easily!

I know how it is about moving. We just moved my sister into her new apartment & she is still unpacking and cleaning. Why are you moving ? I am sure the new homeowners will love the garden and what's to offer.

Me already lived in three different countries, but the distances in Europe are not really big. The longest move from Monte-Carlo (south of France) to here (south of Switzerland).

I've missed a few posts lately what with being away. I knew you were moving but how far are you going?
