According to a book blog group on facebook, It is National Book Lover's Day.
I am usually not one to celebrate silly holidays, but I think I'll celebrate this one with a book.
"The Woman in Cabin 10" is ready for me to get started on it, but I'll wait until a little later tonight.
What are you reading? (if you are)
Why don't you like to read? (if you don't)

Trying to finish up this Fannie Flagg book. I've finally gotten to the climax of the story I think.

It should be faster to read from there. Usually the climax for me is the cinch that has me reading faster.

I plan to read DW Davis' book. I intend to buy it as soon as I've bought all the other things I need to buy.
I started reading "The Woman in Cabin 10" but I've stopped and am re-reading some stuff I've read before. Short stories and the such.

@Blondie2222 Ruth Ware is the author. She draws you into the story very quick.

I had no idea, but now that I do, I'll probably forget again. I pretty much read every day of the year, but some days I just don't for whatever reason.

@LadyDuck I have such an active imagination, and "stories" that I have in my head, I don't need to read.
In fact, I can be in a room full of people and not notice because I am "in my head.":
It is a good stress / coping mechanism.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I cannot sleep if I do not read at least some pages of a book first.

Maybe you shouldn't read Low Pressure first then.
Hmm, let me see if I can think of something that is less intense, more light hearted..
Sandra Brown did another book, "Rainwater", it's not as intense, it's not like anything else she's written.

I love reading but I don't have a book I am currently reading because I have been so busy and also just trying to mentally decompress the book I finished a few weeks ago.

@DesirousDreamer There is a section of true crime at the thrift store I go to. I've never looked at the books there. I do like to watch documentaries on true crime, but I don't really read about it. Weird, I know.

I completely understand having to take a bit to mentally decompress from another story. I just got done with a book today. I really liked it, but I think I can start another later on this evening.
I've had some where I've had to wait weeks though.

That's the way it goes. The book I just got done reading had it's moments where I wasn't sure I'd recommend it either.

There are a few political books that I've pondered getting, that is one of them.
Did you like it?
