As hereandthere has already stated, it is perfectly acceptable to use sourced information to supplement a discussion. I will add that it can even be your own, provided that A) you don't personally earn from the blog, and B) the content in your post isn't just a mirrored post of the text in your blog.

Yes it should be okay if you post it as a link in the discussion if it is about a subject.

You can always put it in your profile too. Otherwise, keep the links as references on discussions.
