Not only their foods are overpriced, There are so many Authentic Mexican food carts that is not only authentic, It's more delicious and cheap. Chipotle is an overpriced fast food with multiple food poisoning complaints and their food have so many diarrhea incident. I have never seen a fast food with so much poisoning incident as Chipotle. Mexican food is not even hard to cook. There are so many recipes at Youtube and ingredients are easy to find and replace. Why people still eats here? Their food is not even that tasty. If I want Mexican food, I will go to where Mexican immigrants eat like those food carts where people line up.

It isn't authentic but it isn't trying to position itself as authentic either. Not every town has Mexican food carts or authentic taquerias. Chipotle is good for what it is. . . Mexican-inspired bowls, burritos, etc. I go there occasionally when I need a fast lunch while at work. It isn't amazing but it also isn't horrible.

@NJChicaa I know Taco Bell also have a bad rep. They have scandals like the employee who peed on nachos.

I've actually never had Chipotle. I've only ever been in the restaurant once, and that's because my friend was getting it while we were out and about.

I had it but it is not really that tasty but it managed to tickle the taste buds of many people that people still eat there despite of multiple food poisoning incidents.

@tammys85 Yup many stores had been sued for poisoning. The beans and lettuce have e.coli.

Maybe they don't have time cook or just want to eat something fast, or maybe other fast food joints are just far away.

Chipotle is more expensive than most fast foods though.

I still eat there. It is tasty to me. Granted I don't eat there a lot, but when I do I don't complain.

Is the branch in your area clean? I think some States must have sanitation issues.

@CaptAlbertWhisker It's pretty decent actually. I usually get it to go though.

I have never been there, but I agree that Mexican food is not at all hard to cook. I prepare Mexican food at home several times a month.

And we can have fresher and less poisoning ingredients like chipotle have.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Absolutely, it takes no time to prepare a fresh guacamole or chicken fajitas.

Yes I never understand that either. I had not eaten there for many years now. And it is not at all authentic Mexican food.

I wonder why they can't keep their restaurant clean. They are lucky to still have loyal customers.

Chipotle is beloved by millennials and it didn't seem to matter how many food poisoning outbreaks happen there.
