At Home in Packers Country

It's been a good if slightly different kind of day. I did start the day at 3 this morning, but I didn't get to bed until 10:30 last night, after the Packers game. I really didn't expect to get up so early. However, I did and was in the pool shortly after 5. The game last night was okay. Lots of penalties on both sides. Looks like more new rules the players need to get used to. I almost didn't think we were going to pull off a win last night, but we did. The Titan defense is good for keeping the Pack from the end zone on two occasions when they tried to go for it on 4th and goal. However, the Pack got their act together, sort of, and did come away with a 31-17 win. Next week is the Steelers. There's speculation Aaron Rodgers will play if Ben Rothlesburger does. We'll see. I got a two-hour nap in this morning, had breakfast after I got up, and spent the remaining time looking over four chapters I've already edited with the help of Grammarly. There were a few minor changes not picked up, and minor changes made. I've been getting about 2 chapters edited a day. Yesterday, it took 5 hours to do two chapters. Right now, I want to get the notifications done before I go back to more hair-pulling as I get more editing done on Thread of Evidence. At the rate I'm working on it, it should take a total of 21 days to get this edit complete before I can start work on publishing. The good thing about that is, when it is finished this time, I won't need to do any further editing, and the process shouldn't take long to get it published. How has your day been? Are you glad it's Friday? Do you have plans for the weekend? Thanks for reading.

The only problem I'm running into is my brain. Sometimes it takes a long time to figure out what the solution is to the issue Grammarly found. It's fun though because I'm learning a lot.

@just4him What is Grammarly? I've noticed others speaking of it and I don't have a clue.

Good luck with the editing. We've been washing the caravan and cleaning the inside ready for a small trip we're taking in a week or two.

Thank you. It's going well, except when I'm too tired, then it's impossible. Had to close it up last night and will tackle it again this morning. Grammarly is a great writing tool. Where are you headed this time?

@just4him We are heading up to where the wildflowers are beginning to show themselves. That's on the Monday then on the weekend we have to be in Merredin to take photos at a horse endurance ride then we'll take a few days to saunter home again.

My day has been good. Quiet. Did you ever do a re-weigh-in this week like you were supposed to? I've been waiting to hear about that.

I did. I posted about it yesterday. I did get rid of the six pounds, so everything is back on track. I'm also going to change up the food program to Paleo. Will do that when I'm out of potatoes.

@just4him Oh good. Congratulations! I am going to go find that post. You will like Paleo. It is somewhat similar. That's pretty much what I do now. My trainer says we can have a palm-sized serving of starch (small potato or white rice) on training days only. Otherwise, his nutritional plan is pretty much the same as Paleo.

@NJChicaa I think it's on one of the At Home in Packers Country posts. I've noticed that. There's also some sugar allowed - Stevia and honey. I don't know if I'll use it, but if I do, it would be in my tea only.

Good to know that you made so much progress on the editing work. I don't have much plans for the weekend...taking my daughter to her eye check-up is one on the to do list for today.

Do you ever have others edit your books? You have published some of these before, is it going to be a re release? This is interesting to see your process.

This one is a first time. I've tried having others edit, but two people quit on me, so I gave up someone else doing it and bought books on editing. Now, I'm using Grammarly, and I'm learning so much as I work with all the issues it's giving me in my work. I call it hair pulling time. I'm even yelling at the screen when it seems like I won't find the solution to the issue. However, I always do. I have seven complete chapters without issues. At least none made by me. I use King James Scripture at some points, and that doesn't fly well with Grammarly, so the seventh chapter has issues, but those ones weren't made by me and I refuse to change Scripture. KJV is public domain, so I don't need to contact anyone for permission to use it.

By my calculations, it will take 21 days to get it done, at least at the rate I've been doing it the last couple days at two chapters a day. Quiet days are good for relaxation.

You can't always judge a team by pre-season when things are being worked out and tested. But a win made you happy!
