Rebecca Collins West who lives in Dennis Massachusetts received the best news of her life on July 31 when she received a telephone call from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Cape Cod to inform her the good news that her cat was in the animal shelter. Tigger ran away from home of his owner seven years ago when he was one year of age. The whereabouts of where Tigger went are sketchy. The only detail that is known of Tigger was that he was picked up by an animal control officer who was living in a home in Mashpee when the owner of the home left the home to be taken to a treatment center. When Rebecca received the home call from the animal shelter, it was due to the fact that Tigger had a microchip placed on him which made it easier for the animal shelter to contact Rebecca with the good news. Rebecca was happy to reunite with her pet who had lost weight while he was in the animal shelter. Tigger recognized his owner as soon as he saw Rebecca at the animal shelter. Reunited and it feels so good. Just for the record, Tigger was likely named after the Winnie The Pooh character.
