I'm grateful for shelter tonight

Our high temps cooled. And the replacement? High wind gusts. Folks up north of me are reporting that over a dozen new fires have started there- its lovely forests and wilderness, or was.
So far we continue to have electricity. And that means that we also have air conditioning and water from the well pump.
I made a blueberry pie today. Hubby bought a big box of blueberries from a lady at work. She'd gone somewhere and bought the fruit from a local farmer. I love to eat as much locally raised food as possible. You guessed it. Big chunks of that pie are not in the pie dish any longer.
I hope you all are having a lovely, safe time right now.

@sallypup I am sure they do. Hopefully the winds calm down. They are not good with the fires.

Thanks @wolfgirl569 Me, too. The cooler sunset temps feel so good.

@wolfgirl569 Ooops. There's a fire now about an hour and a half north of me.

All those fires must be pretty scary. We had rain today with thunderstorms but things here aren't quite as dry as where you are.

@Marilynda1225 Rain and thunder is okay but thunder and lightening without moisture is scary. I'm glad you got some relief.

@sallypup It was pretty awful for a while. Temperatures in the high 90's, humidity high as well and air quality alerts out. One day out in that triggered breathing problems for me, and it was just miserable. It was lovely when it finally cooled down. But the cycle is due to start again tomorrow.
