How Do You Find Discussions?

Most of the time I find discussions to read using the "most recent activity" tab. Other times I of course read discussions from those who comment on my own. So, I am just curious what tab you use most often to find discussions to read?

I only use "most recent discussions," look through the titles when scrolling down and open those which may be interesting for me in new tabs... then I open the selected ones one by one, read them and maybe comment

That's what I do, too. It's the most reasonable way in my opinion.

Every time I try most recent discussions @MashaVickina I tend to feel like I have run out of posts to read. At least in most recent activity you get more of a variety and even get to find some older, worthwhile posts to read.

@MALUSE I tend to run out of discussions doing it that way. And it hardly refreshes.

@porwest I either write a discussion about something I know or go into others to see if I can get an idea and there are times that I do find something to write

That is often a good way to find something to write about for sure. If a post is written in a certain way that garners a response, it can also give a writer a way to expand on the idea and the response in a new post.

I check "Most recent discussions" to see if there is something interesting. Then I look at Notifications and see what's there.

I haven't been terribly active and don't have time to go crazy here. I always first check my notifications and then go to follows and check their most recent discussions. I have a number of long-time internet friends on the site and I try to keep up with them first. After that I might check out some of the more recent stuff.

Sounds like a good way to go about it. I think we all have a couple favorites around here.

For me it's a combination of Most Recent Discussions (usually when I post), visiting those who have visited me, and Hot Discussions. I also check "what's over there on the right" sometimes.

I looked for the discussion to read from "their discussion."

I use the "most recent discussion" because usually if there's a new discussion created I can make sure that the user is still online and willing to interact or respond to your comment to their discussion same with most recent activity. It's so hard to interact especially if we are aware that the user isn't even online or active in the community. It's better to interact with someone's actions, than interacting to offline wherein we need to wait for a couple of hours for us to receive a response from that specific user.

I always check the no response discussion, first then next I check on the most recent discussion.

I go to 'follows' 'their discussions' and start at the top. I don't always read every one but I try to read most till I get to where I left off the day before. If someone I'm not following comments on my post, I go to their profile and read and comment one or two of their posts. If I enjoy what I've read I'll add them to those I follow.

Might start hitting that screen more often. Although you do sometimes find some older posts in the most recent activity screen.

@porwest I look for discussions in different categories- interesting, most recent and new user's etc.I prefer to respond to posts that are short and easy to understand.
