Do you ever listen to music and just lay back and look at the ceiling?

I often put my headphones on and lay in bed listening to music and looking at a dot on the ceiling. Maybe is weird but its somehow relaxing .

If you can do that for a long time then maybe you can be a good at meditating. I think meditating is all about focusing on one object for a long time without getting distracted. I could not do that if i do that I would either feel asleep over time because music is so relaxing and it puts me to sleep. If the music is a bit active then I would either sing it or dance to it.

@vriam456 Yeah I guess thats the effect of the music you are hearing that causes you to go wild. Meditation needs very subtle music so you can really focus on something.

Sometimes I listen to YouTube and do that. The best is when they start playing song after song, it's fun to try and guess which one will be next. (I'm always wrong.) But it's still fun. hahaha

I do, just to unwind. Eventually, I'll close my eyes and daydream, especially if I'm plugged into some Indie music on Pandora!

I only listen to music when I am working. Listening to music helps me concentrate better on what I am doing, especially if I am listening to good gospel music. It inspires me.
