Bangers and Mash and an empty bar

It is not often that I visit bars these days but last night was an exception. We were out enjoying a concert at the park and had planned to eat there. However, found out the kitchen had closed due to the heat - they told us. The concert ended at 9 PM so we stopped at an English style pub close to home to see if we could get something quick to eat. The parking lot was empty so we thought they might be closed. When we got to the door they were opened, TV's on sports channels and music blaring but except for us, there was no one else in the bar. I asked the server if they had food at that time and she handed be a large menu. Of course we are in a bar so we had a beer while waiting for our food. My husband had the Bangers and Mash – an English dish consisting of sausage, mashed potatoes and gravy. It was nice to have an entire bar to ourselves and one server attending to all our needs. Not to mention the cook who made our meals just for us. No one else entered the bar while we were there. Have you ever been the only person or family in a bar or restaurant?
