This bit is a send up of interview programs such as “Inside the Actors Studio” where oh so serious pretentious host James Lipton engages famous performers in serious discussion. Here, Rowan Atkinson (“Mr. Bean”) is the interviewer and his guest is Elton John and the results are funny. Atkinson plays it straight and deadpan except when making one of his “Oh brother” expressions while EJ tries maintaining a straight face but you know he wants to laugh. This clip must be a couple decades old as EJ looks young and svelte.
