Am a Tutor!

Background music: Parampaaapaa Parampaaa Yayyy!! Yes, you heard it right! Am a tutor! I started tutoring a 7th class student. He is a good kid but lazy in writing down the answers and very pathetic in handwriting. It took a lot days like 4-5 days for negotiations with his mother and lot of convincing to my parents! After a certain age, you feel bad asking money to parents.. Moreover, it is a good way that I will be in touch with basic studies. P.S. That kid shares his name with my brother..

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something: you say "It took ... lot of convincing to my parents," do you mean 'your student's parents' or 'YOUR parents'?

@anya12adwi It will be a good way for you to provide a good example for the young student---which is the best thing that a student can get from his teachers.

That is a great thing you are doing! I was also taking tutition classes for class Xtyh and Xth students when I was ij college! Apart from having money and staying in touch with the subjects you are mending the lives of many people which I am realizing now when I receive Greetings on Teachers day from people who are very well placed and send me greeting addressing 'Best Teacher Ever Seen' though by profession I am not a teacher!

@AKRao24 Being a teacher is very fulfilling and a reward by itself. One of my friends was running a tuition center. He asked me to give some guest lectures which I did for free. Then after a few years one smartly dressed woman in a big city came over and started to talk to me with reverence. I said I could have been mistaken for someone else. Then she clarified she was a student of mine years ago. That is an unforgettable moment! siva

Tutoring can be rewarding not only financially. By sharing our knowledge, we increase it. I wish you well - siva

I like tutoring too. I used to help others with their computer, type in Word, use Excel, Powerpoint, email, English, Math...I even did it for free sometimes. I hope you get more students you can teach, so you will earn better. Finding students is not easy, keeping them is even harder. Writing is an important skill, now with the smartphones, kids like typing more than writing with a pencil, they use many icons instead of words to express themselves. The technology has this effect on children, they express themselves less by talking and writing, more by typing. Maybe you can show that student that awsome website called Mylot. He will like typing with less icons, that will lead him to (I hope) better express himself with writing.

Exactly this is the problem I am dealing with my student.. He has a very bad handwriting and he does not want to write.. And in these days, people put more trust in school teachers and coaching centres over the individual tutors..
