Glenn Pelrine who graduated from the Franklin Institute two years earlier was water skiing in Middleboro Massachusetts in 1973 when the ring fell into the lake and Glenn feared the worst that his college ring would be gone forever. A young lady named Maria went to the same lake that Glenn went water skiing recently. Her boyfriend was using a metal detector and he round a ring that was in the muck of the lake. Maria then saw the name on the ring and contacted Glenn via her Facebook account to report the good news to him. Maria is employed by the Gregory Scot jewelry store in Middleboro. Glen was happy that Maria polished up his college ring and returned it back to him safe and sound.

It is his real ring since his name is inside of the ring.
