Why asking too many questions?

One time when I was looking for food for my afternoon snack.
I went to the store not too far away from where we live.
One neighbor eagerly asks me if why she did not see the boyfriend around me. I was kind of caught off guard because I tend not to talk to people especially if I happen to know the person. But this nosy neighbor I know she wouldn't let it pass.
"Why I'm not seeing your boyfriend here?"
"Where he from?"
"Where he work?" Those question in a persisting manner.
So I told her this. You don't see him because you are too busy to notice it.
The next time he will be here, I'll let you know. Satisfy?
Then I walk away and forgot the food I bought.
I know I've been too harsh on her but she deserves it because she is one of those rumor mongers who sells rumors.

Urgh! So annoying neighborhood! They keep on asking and they'll tell it to everyone! Which is really irritating! I really don't like those type of people, who cares about our daily lives!? haha!
Anyway, I got surprised that you already have (39170) whaaaaaaaaaaat!?

oh! hahaha! you have a neighbor who is a 'field reporter' of the 'gossip channel'. yes, i too would feel annoyed when i am asked many questions that are personal.
why? we are not show-business personalities and these people meddle with our lives? that person, and she is even a SHE, will find karma coming out of her closet.

@JustBhem true, but it does not mean that she should always ask about you. maybe just one question about 'how you are' and it should not include your boyfriend.

If it's one thing I can't stand, is people who are nosey, and ask questions. You did the tight thing, she probably won't ask again.

I find some users here doing that. I ignore them. Good thing we have the ability here to ignore users without them knowing that we have ignored them.
