Telling Boss your Honest Opinion

There are businesses nowadays that are not performing well in terms of revenue. It's quite frustrating to the business owners of course and the management are quick to think anything to save the business to further failure and to save any cost.
Relative to the situation, we had this discussion of my boss few weeks ago about her plan to further cut any benefits the employees are enjoying. I was very honest on my opinion about the plan; being straightforward about my statement though in a polite sense as to not to offend the involve party. But, I think that it has offended my boss and I can feel it. I just spoke about the basic rights of the employees.
Was that inappropriate? Would you speak honestly to your boss or just let things happened according to their plan even if it is bothering or hurting you?

I always voice out whatever I feel but in the most discrete and sweet or understandable way and manner.

,,its not inappropriate. You just stated your honest opinion about the plan... Sometimes we.need defend somethings that we think is right. And.you just did that.. :)
