Bones are bones are bones.

Yesterday, my aunt brought Luna a toy. It had that typical bone shape that no real bone has. What Luna likes about it is that it has a bright color and that it squeaks. Luna´s bed, with a foam that I´d love for my own bed, has a cover with a red background and little bone pictures over it. I think that Luna likes it because it is warm and soft. I bought some cookies to help with her training. Everyone says to give her something if she responds to an order. And although my own experience with Luna is different (she prefers to be petted by me to anything), I got said cookies. They had the bone shape And finally, the vet told me to buy bones, real bones, cook them in water no salt and give them to her to play and chew. None of the real bones had bone shape. And she love them. They must be hidden in anyone of the holes that Luna has made. Saved them for a rainy day. This is yet another story written by a puppy´s foster mom.

I am very surprised that your vet told you to give her "boiled bones". Raw bones can be both safe and healthy, when cooed, they become more brittle, increasing the risk that they might splinter and cause internal injury to your puppy.

They are big bones. Maybe she wanted the bones with less fat as she said that when Luna was a baby. I´ll have to check.

@LadyDuck I will. It might be because she told me that when she was a baby and had only small teeth.

@marguicha Ask her again, the vet where my niece brought her dog told her that he had many accidents with cooked bones.

It's funny how they love to bury their bones. Luna is a lucky dog.

When I remember how small she was only 4 months ago, I cannot understand she is the same dog I miss the little puppy, but I love the big girl.

@marguicha Puppies and kittens grow up so quickly don't they? Even quicker than children do.

@JudyEv Yes. Specially when they are as big as German Shepherds.
