If Preiti can eat the same food 365 days why not me for 3 days?

Poor though we were mother always cooked fresh food every single day She must be turning in her grave to see her daughter cooking once every 3 days. Our pet Preiti eats the same food 365 days in a year and so what's the big deal? The fridge comes to the rescue and steaming is what I do. So the food tastes good and fresh. I have only told this here but not in my real world They think I cook every day

I usually cook twice a day every day. Only a few days I skip.

@LadyDuck Even here rates are high but the main thing is we do not get them. When it comes to breakfast there is something done every day

@allknowing Mom had a maid when I was young, now to have a maid you need to go out and work, because the minimum salary is 900$ for a maid.

Do you cook every day? Actually that is the right thing to do but one must have the time.

@allknowing I cook every day. But sometimes I cook much meat and put it in the fridge. We eat it when I have no time to cook.

When I retired and became a plain housewife, I cook 3 times a day. Breakfast, which is quick cooking , lunch and dinner. Because our daughter was young then, we have to consider what she likes and she was so picky then, and a bit still now when she comes home for a vacation. But now, at home, that we don't have kids anymore to go to school, we just eat breads with choices of spreads and beverage of our choices. Lunch will be cooked but for dinner, whatever is left for lunch will just be added with a quick to cook meal.

That is what I think is with most. Cooking used to be an activity throughout the day almost in the good old days.

@allknowing That is true. When you are at home, you can't help cooking the meals for the family, specially if the hubby is at work, he has to eat a nice dinner. Or specially on weekends when everyone is at home, we like cooking delicious meals.

I do not cook every day either. Sometimes I cheat by getting something at the Deli.

I say whatever works. I like preparing meals that I can freeze or refrigerate. Potato salad is my favorite. It provides for me, a single person, a week worth of meals.

@allknowing It's good to rotate meals. Preparing things ahead of time and freezing them cuts down on cooking time. Eat and go is how I live.
