Preparation for embarkation on the cruise ship - Part 1

I will tell my real story to board and work aboard a cruise ship. In order not to be too long I decided to divide this story into two or more parts, first I will tell you what it was necessary for me to do to be able to board. Preparation for embarkation on the cruise ship Before boarding the cruise ship it is necessary for the crew member to go through a few steps: # Blood test (complete blood count, anti-drug test, hiv test ...); # Medical examination to know whether the sight, hearing, heart, lung, anyway if all is well. # STCW course where the crew member will know how to act in certain situations on the ship, such as abandoning the ship. # Interview to know in which sector the crewmember will work, if you have never been on a cruise ship know that English is the world's communication language, obviously you will find people who speak the same language as you speak, such as Spanish, in which case you can talk in Spanish. Imagine the situation of putting a person that English is not your native language and who does not speak the language to work in the restaurant or in the ship's excursion sector, places that people can meet people from all over the world will not be much good. The position will depend on the mastery of the English language, if the person has Spanish as a native language and master English, the probability of working in the restaurant is very great. If the crewmember candidate knows how to speak English, French, Spanish and German for the position that will be placed, it will almost certainly be at the reception desk. To be continued... I love ships but I doubt that I would feel good on a cruise ship. The many people your photo shows give me the creeps. Of course, most of them are invisible to the passengers. Yet, the mere idea of being confined in a small space with many people is not good for a claustrophobic.

Cruise ship is a great way to know many places in few days. If you don't feel good onboard every cruise ship has a hospital.

@MALUSE I fully understand your case, you can travel on a cruise ship and stay in a windowless cabin. In addition to being cheaper they are better located in relation to elevators and stairs.

@paulobraga85 I don't need a hospital when I feel claustrophobic. Obviously, you don't suffer from this or you would know. I can't stand heights, either. What can be done in a hospital when I tell a physician that I can't look out of a window from the third floor upwards?

That's an interesting job and experience you have. I wish I had worked in a cruise when I was younger.

That is fascinating! I never knew how much was involved. I look forward to hearing more. The time I went on a cruise I had a crush on my restaurant server. I even got a picture of him.
