Diary Thursday 16th August 2018 Job searching all afternoon, motly at the Preston based community centre but with little success, followed by lots of final preparation work for tomorrow’s talk on heraldry. Diary Friday 17th August 2018 I always wonder if anyone is going to bother coming to my talks but I had an audience of about twelve for a talk on a subject as obscure as heraldry so I was quite happy. After a few problems getting the community centre computer to recognize my flash drive Powerpoint images the talk got under way and it was very well received. We were all given cakes by the centre manager too which was lovely. Diary Saturday 18th August 2018 I relaxed after my talk, did a little shopping and caught up with my general writing activity too. Glad it went well. That is a respectable-sized audience.

Even though I was once a reporter I am not brave enough for public speaking.

Glad there were enough there to make your talk worthwhile. Some subjects don't have a lot of appeal to many.
