My daughter rented her house to a woman the other day and was telling me about one of the woman's pets. The woman asked were she could put her tank, at this time my daughter still didn't know what was in it. When she finally looked in the tank, she said she knows she jumped back a least a foot. Inside the tank lay a albino python, at least 14 or 15 foot foot long! My daughter said the woman keeps cords around the top of the lid so the snake can't get out, I told her heck no that wouldn't even be good enough for me. I'd even be putting a cement block on top just to make sure! lol The woman also told her that she lets the snake out sometimes and lets it go throughout the house. I told daughter, well one thing about she doesn't have to ever worry about me visiting her.

I wouldn't be too afraid of that snake as long as she keeps it well fed. I'd be a lot worried if the snake was running loose inside the house and she told me that it hasn't eaten in a few days.

@sweetashoney I will admit, I would be a little uncomfortable knowing there was a snake that big loose in the house.

You would know if she does not feed it well if the neighbor's pet cat is gone missing and the thing has some sort of scratch marks

that was very funny especially the cement block part and not visiting here again lol. It's most probably an albino Burmese python, these snakes just sleeps most of the time especially when they had just eaten. Somebody I know had a similar pet that he feeds with live chickens, the chickens would even step on its head when its full, its different when it's hungry, it becomes restless and aggressive so I think letting it out to roam in the house is not advisable, it's a wild animal and should be treated as such, my friend kept his in a large and high steel cage where it could freely move and I think climb if I remember right.

@sweetashoney hahaha...I had held a large Burmese python before and had my picture taken together with my son when he was little, I even posted a picture of it here at Mylot a long long time ago. Contrary to popular belief they are not wet and slimy but dry and felt like leather that feels good to the touch, ( believe it or not) I understand what you are going through, I felt that that way before lol

Will your daughter be living there or just collecting rent?

The house she lives in is about 20 foot from the one she's renting out, that's why I said that woman don't have to worry about me going over there.

@sweetashoney I guess it's okay if the python isn't destructive and leaving messes.
