Sharing in the Park

In our park, we share unwanted items with one another. People can leave something on the free shelf or take something from it. No one checks to see who took things, it is entirely hassle-free. I like this system. Do you have a free shelf or another system in your neighborhood?

We don't have such ways in my city. But I do think it is a good idea.

@Shavkat ~Maybe you can share the idea with your neigbors and friends so that you can help each other to share books or help needy members in your community who are having a hard time.

@flpoolbum Uhm I wish I can do that. My neighbors are not into such kind. However, I could still give it a shot.

It is easy when there is an open all day laundry with no attendant. People can leave what they don't need or pick up something they do need. Our free space is in the laundry.

Those are nice to have, our fire dept has a book box where you can leave books or takes books which is nice to have. The kids like going over and picking a book each and then replacing it with ones they already read.

That is awesome. They get to read more books that way.

@cintol That's great, Cindy. A book is not good unless someone is going to read it. I like sharing books.

@akalinus Yes I love it, we had one in Colorado at the church as well and we dropped a lot of books in there when we moved.

Very nice way of disposing items that is of no use for your but may be of use to others. It may also encourage to recycle since they will be used further before they really end up in garbage. Very nice thought of system you have established in your community.

We don't have anything like that close to where I live, but we don't really have a community gathering place close to the subdivision. I believe there may be something similar the churches organize in town, though. I think it is a good system.

I like that you don't have to fill out a form and declare your income or whatever.

We bring what we do not need once a month into a room in the Town Hall, people can get what they need. Everything left is then donated to charities.

That is a nice thing to do. It keeps things in circulation instead of stored somewhere, cluttering up the place.
