Do you keep friends

I read a lot about evil perpetrated by some so-called friends and feels one is better off without a friend or friends. Having friends to share and live life with is a gift and no man is an island right?
Do you still keeps friends or you are just in a world of your own without friends?

In ny elementary years in school I had a group of friends and my life revolved around them, my family and and my studies. MY childhood was all play and fun with friends. During my college days, I met really intelligent, funny group of friends that I help me got through tough college while having good times. Now at 38, I can say that I have no friends that I can speak of. I am happy the way I am for now.

I still keep my friends. But I also have a series of heartaches from traitor friends.
