Good Morning 8/20

We had some major, major storms last night. The power flickered and went off briefly, but it was a short interuption but I had to reset the refrigerator this morning, and of course the clocks are all wrong. They were so bad that the cat left the room and went to his safe place in the house. It simply poured down rain and the thunder and lightning was intense.I haven't had the news on, but I am guessing there are numerous power outages around the area. Have you had any storms in your region recently?

Our forecast here is not dry..but maybe it will rain in some parts and not others. It is starting to feel a bit more like fall now, and I am grateful.

We had a flash flood warning. My brother texted me and said, "Are you getting deluged?" I looked out. Not a drop of rain. Then I looked at the radar: there was a tiny concentration of rain parked in one area of town. The late news said they got over 4 inches of rain. We didn't get a drop where I live.

Yeah, that's the thing, sometimes these storms are hit and miss. Even when we were driving home from PA the day before yesterday..there were a few strong storms we went through..minus thunder and lightning and other areas were dry.

We are waaaay above our average rainfall. It was not good for the crops.

No thunder and lightning? It is pretty cool now as well. I was looking at the extended forecast last night..it doesn't look like we will get out of the 80's all week. Hallejuah!
