My people believed that cockroaches are wonderful and delicious meal to the Chinese people.
I remember on day we killed a lot of cockroaches in our house after fumigation, then I heard someone said, all these cockroaches you want to throw away is someone delicacy in another country.

I never ate cockroaches, they look disgusting. I think only a few people like them. At least people around me won't eat those.

When it comes to strange food, China is unfortunately the only one targeted, I don't know why ? :-(
What about other Asian countries ?
They have scorpions, centipede, spiders, rats, tarantulas, lizards and I can go on and on and on.
I agree with the rest of you guys here (Christina Camacho), if they like to have roaches and other "exotic" food that's their business, and from another responder ( Deborah K. Mitchell), "foods that seem strange to us are not strange to those who live there."
Americans eat pork, beef, mutton, deer, lamb...
Every country has its own delicacy and we just have to choose what we eat and we don't have to do what the rest of the Romans are eating ;-)
* Do what the Romans Do* In this case, no thank you .
I am vegan :-)

@proseprity68 wonderful. I can't eat it, maybe I reconsider not going to China, so I won't eat one day.

@MACQUUNE As I have read, The Chinese or other Asians eat "exotic" food is because of the health benefits that these insects or bugs give to their body.
They don't mind eating these things because when they were still young they were already programmed into eating these things and the way it was prepared for them has always been yummy for them.

It depends on the country culture, as far as what I've seen to YouTube and any other documentary sites, I saw that they have Cockroach that they sell, and some people eat it, For some people, it seems it isn't appropriate like me since insects aren't we usually eat on our location.

@MACQUUNE Same here mate! I don't believe that they eat those type of insects until one day I saw a video in China that they sell cooked insects, and I think there are worms too on the video and spider (I'm not 100% sure if it is a worm or not)

Never heard the cockroach thing. In the US people say Chinese eat cats. I think its more of a joke these days because if they really felt that way, they wouldn't love to eat Chinese food so much

I am not sure if it's the Chinese but Asians do eat them from what I heard. I think they eat them fried. Yuck! I will never eat bugs or insects of any kind.

@MACQUUNE Yep it is. And I am sure many people will not want to eat that either. But to each his own.

I would imagine so. Bugs are apart of a lot of dishes in many cultures. Crickets are all the rage these days.

@MACQUUNE They are just bugs. Just because it isn't normal where you are doesn't mean that it is gross. what is worse, them eating a cockroach or a tiger? I think I would prefer a cockroach because they are not vulnerable or endangered species.
