Selling online

How I wish I could shed my laziness and make a determined effort to sell online. I have so much that I can sell as I am keen on getting rid of stuff that I have not used and also what I have used but have no use for. . My garden has lots of items that could be grabbed by those who do not have them in their country. Hats off to those who are engaged in this activity.

My sister sells used clothing, shoes, and accessories online. I gave her some of our stuff to sell. I could do the online part but I know I would be lazy about actually shipping it out so I let her do it and she gets to keep 50% of the $$ from the sales.

You are paying a price for your laziness but it's ok since it is your sister that gets the money (lol)

It is not easy to sell online because the competition is very serious. But if you have unique items, it will be a good idea to sell online. Good luck!

Hope you figure things out and give it a go sometime. I expect, though, that it won't necessarily be as easy as some would say. You mention things in your garden. Are these plants? Fresh stuff? Because if so, then you'd have to consider how they will be shipped, since you seem to imply providing them for abroad, and how long they will last, therefore how fast should they be shipped.

@allknowing Ah, I see. If they are dry, then I suppose it is ok to ship compared to fresh ones. :)

@allknowing I buy from Amazon Italy and Amazon France. When I order books or DVDs (movies) the items never go through custom. I ordered other things and they were inspected by the Swiss Customs, I know that it's normal but this costs 10$ for each inspection.

@allknowing I know how you feel. It is not easy. I am not good at marketing myself and send to the same places and try different ways to write it but I still do not get many responses.

@moichan I have few curry leaf trees to begin with. I will first have to dry the the leaves and then start the process of marketing them online.

@allknowing You could do a yard sale then. That would move some things to a new home. And you dont have to go anywhere unless you want to set up away from home.

The items my kids don't want go straight to the consignment shop. I've done very well there over the years.

@allknowing No, it's a store that specifically sells good used products from clothes to furniture, etc. We have many here. They usually split the sale 50/50.

Once you start it it will be so easy and you will wonder why you took so long in the first place to get started on it.

@allknowing I have sold online before, it went pretty good I actually sold more than I thought I would. With computers being every where, that seems to be the way people shop now. Give it a try
