I was checking online how to prepare food for dogs. I would not want food to be thrown away if Luna can eat it. But then, I also know that there are many foods that dogs should not eat.
Of course, I would not give her gum, coffee or a beer. But I didn´t know that she cannot eat onions, garlic nor salt. And, on the other hand, in moderate amounts, she can eat chicken skin. Who would have guessed all that!
I will learn how to learn to give her part of our food.

Garlic is not good for dogs? I was not aware of this. I have a friend who uses garlic powder in her dog's food. I wonder if that is safe? She says that she read it helps naturally repel fleas.

That list (see the link in one of my answers) includes grapes and raisins. And chocolate too. But I don´t share chocolate with anyone.

@marguicha I always thought that dogs were supposed to eat foods that humans could not eat. I would give her the food that the kids left on their plates and leftovers that were not enough for another meal. I also gave her a high protein dog food. and lots of fresh water every day.

The vet told me not to give her salt. So that means no to most leftovers.

This might be a little too much. But still, it seems that we have to take care of what our dogs eat. I saw a vet show last week and the vet had to do surgery on a dog that had eaten a sock.

You missed chocolates. They are bad too. I am aware of what a dog should not eat. Chicken feet are good for the dog. But Preiti does not like chicken skin (lol)

I had heard of chicken bones. Yet years ago I saw that one of my friends gave chicken feet to his dogs. He explained to me that other parts of the chicken were dangerous, but not feet.
