Are you mindful with what you eat?

There’s pain in my right heel. I hope that this is not a major issue. I remember consuming a lot of peanuts and beans lately. If it has not something to do with the pain, there must be another culprit. When we mature, our system is changing also. We need to be mindful on our food intake. We need to abide the restriction because at the end of the day, it’s us who suffer.

Mindful in the sense that my whole family don't eat pork. So when we're at a restaurant we always ask if they add pork to their meal. What you have seems to be a gout. You should try taking green tea.

@toniganzon: Good thing to hear about that. I hope I can also avoid that. Although, not eating that much I still consume it when I want.

Right foot heel pain could be a plantar fasciitis. It could be caused by gout, or because you had a bad posture while walking. Beans and peanuts are well known to cause gout.

I hope it's nothing serious. My last uric acid test was just five months ago and it's normal. If this persists I might see my physician.

@LadyDuck I believe that they have the benefits too. I'll just minimize the intake if it's really the cause. And if it keeps on triggering, no more option but to stop.

Yes I always check the menu before I order the food, because I know I want to make sure that I still follow my balanced diet foods

@ZedSmart Yeah I'm trying to discipline myself even If I want to get more rice, because here in the Philippines most of our foods are so really good, so it's hard to maintain our diet, so there are times that we have "cheat day" for our tummies haha!

Thank you for the advice. I already practice. There are just time I was tempted to eat. It's a hassle when you avoid foods that are no good for you.

I think it is a culprit to cause an increase of uric acid that triggers pain. It is a big no for people who are suffering from arthritic conditions. I tried to check what I eat lately.

I had been a beans-addicted here and I have notice like you I had striking pain at the back of knee. I injured my left knee several years ago but I did not have any problem, did not even limp. Now, I stopped eating beans my system is back to normal

@ZedSmart maybe if we have problems like these yes, but beans is a better alternative to any kind of snacking. I used to snack it to replace the chips.

yes, sometimes especially now that I have an illness. I try to steer away from meat (pork, beef), sugary drinks, desserts, etc. You know, I am not getting any younger.

When one crosses 40 years of age then have to be alert on the eating stuffs. I heard, after 40 the effects will be quickly expressed by our body.
