Now that we are both sitting and ready to talk I have something to say. My attitude first thing this morning was absolutely outrageously awful. I was determined to go through the day grumpy and unhappy. But, it wasn't to be. A neighbor stopped by and I had to be polite and sweet. It just about killed me until she whipped out a small package and told me it was a just because gift. Just because I am always nice, just because I am always helpful, just because I always lend a sympathetic ear. I was touched and my attitude immediately took an upward turn. When I opened the gift I almost cried. She had found a print of a saying (the one above) and had picked it up for me. I love it. It is something that I truly believe. A good attitude does allow you to have some control of your life. I have always believed that. A good attitude helps you get through the good times and the bad. A good attitude helps you live a life full of joy and thankfulness rather that gloom and doom. How could I have forgotten this? It is my mantra. I will be hanging this special gift in my bedroom where I see it thing after I open my eyes. It will remind me how fortunate I am to have friends like this, love ones who love me, and it will also remind me how lucky I am to be still able to get up in the morning.
