Diary Sunday 19th August 2018 A day of very little apart from shopping and checking transport times for a trip to Liverpool next month as I am invited to a wedding there. Looks like I may have to set off as early as 5.30 am. Shriek. Diary Monday 20th August 2018 Disaster when I snagged my ankle in the power lead to my lap top and actually broke the power lead. I had to look online to find a seller of the right kind of lead and hoped to get it before the computer battery drained. I found one relatively cheap offering next day delivery. Diary Tuesday 21st August 2018 Community centre discount on near sell by date food run day, where there was some delay in getting the distribution started but the food offered was very good. I checked on Amazon for when my new power lead might arrive. They said that it could be as late as 9pm, but also that the driver was just three deliveries away (though that could be deliveries anywhere in the UK). He actually arrived about 1.30pm, which should have been great. This however what I ended up writing to Amazon on their customer feedback form. "The driver arrived early and parked outside my flat. He appeared to struggle to find my item. When I asked if he was delivering to me he snapped at me and said he was having a break first. He then sat in the cab staring at me for ten minutes, making no effort to drink tea or anything I might expect during a driving break. He rummaged some more and finally thrust my parcel into my hands, driving off without a word. His attitude was pathetic. Teasing customers about their parcel even after arriving right to the front door with them is petty, mean spirited and just plain cruel. He could easily have started his break after the delivery, even if he wanted to stay parked outside my flat. I was glad to install my lead and get back to using my computer fully though. I hope you reported the fact to Amazon, they usually care about customer service. Some workers are disgusting.

Lucky you didn't twist your ankle - or something worse in that power lead. Well that delivery guy must have been really hungry or thirsty if he couldn't just hand over your parcel then take his break.

I wouldn't of sat there watching the delivery driver. Especially if they said it wouldn't be there till later.

@thislittlepennyearns he was there and handing me my parcel took seconds. The time was an estimate by Amazon, not a set time for delivery.
