My son was absent today because since Monday afternoon, (according to him) he is already not feeling well. He had slight fever last night, so I gave him a tablet of Paracetamol 500mgs, aside from the Vitamin C 500 mgs tablet he takes everyday. I told him to inform somebody from the high school department last night about his absence today. Now, I am asking him if he can resume his work tomorrow, and he said, “Yes, Ma, anyway I have no more fever”. He is on water therapy and rest. Hopefully by tomorrow, he will be well so he can go back to work. I will just ask him if he can resume working; otherwise, I have to be his mother first, and nurse second, and tell him he needs more rest.

@JustBhem no, but he is on home medication like lemon juice, honey, Vitamin C tablets, enough rest and sleep, and good food. he is without fever so he has no infections.

@Mavic123456 it is not influenza, and he is not making up his sickness. i think he was exhausted since school started. there was a time he did not have a rest day because he taught from Monday to Friday, went to school for the PTA induction of officers and at 10AM that time, he went to the university for his masters classes, and again on Sunday, he attended his master's classes whole day. Monday, he had his work again until Friday. this Saturday and Sunday, he will have 2 days in Masters classes, but good thing there will be no classes on Monday.

Hopefully he’s back on track again. I know how moms are when their sons are sick they are the first to panic and scramble for medicines. That’s normal I guess for most moms.

yes i believe so, but i hope i am not like that. i am a health care provider so i think i can see the reason why my son, or my sister, is sick. my son did not have continuous fever so i knew that was viral. lots of fluids and vitamin C should make him well, and he is now.

@ridingbet Oh the better that you are health care provider, you will be able to make them feel better since you know what to do in those cases. Most moms are kind of panicky when this things happen the first thing that comes in their mind is to bring them to the doctor to be safe on how to treat their sick child.

@rsa101 indeed, but mothers have that instinct to know which part of her child's body is sick. i think the grandmother is more panicky than the mother.

Sure good to have a great mom like you. I had that experience that all three of my kids got sick and oh boy you should see me hair standing frantic whom to go to first. Yikes! But I made it through.

there is a certain mother's touch that makes her kids get well.
