Do you compare things when buying?

I would be getting a phone plan from one of the network provider but I have difficulty in choosing between the two models of the same brand. The models are almost the same because they have the same name with just an added description ( for example AB and the other one is AB1). I thought, there were just few improvements from the former. There is a big difference between the prices which I almost ignored wishing to get the latter. When I read about the camera feature I almost decided that I would get the newer model. The former model has 13+2 MP front camera and 16+2 MP rear camera; while the latter has 24+2MP front and 16+2MP rear. When I see that there is no difference between the rear cameras' MP I am now certain that I would get the former. There is no difference between the camera but the price has. I had spent time searching for a good review about the product and I hope it helps. Am i making the right decision, what do you think? Do you compare things when buying, especially with phone models?

Well, all my phones have so far been hand-me-downs so I haven't had the chance to compare phones for buying yet. But yes, I sometimes spend an inordinate amount of time comparing things before I buy them. Just recently, I spent so much time choosing among dish scrubbers... Anyway, I guess the 2nd phone was catered to people who love taking selfies.

I almost got the bait but when I realized that both phones have the same specs of camera in the rear then I was convinced that they have the same capability. I am not fond of taking selfie and beside if we took photograph, we always use the rear ones to see to it how the photo would look like be. I would choose the former because it offers a lesser plan category. We're no longer choosy when we are handed it free.

I think that is a practical way when you are planning to buy something that can be compared. It is the surest way to do to be assured that you have bought an item that suits your need and the budget you have. But nowadays, it can get confusing especially if there are many models available already and only the prices differ from one another.

That is why I do not get easily convinced on buying new things especially cellphone models. They have higher price and little did we know or we don't that it's just a rehashed or with only little improvement from previous model.

We often do a thorough research especially for gadgets. Because sometimes the specs are not that good and we might just be paying for the brand.

You are right. It's good to compare specs and prices even if for branded products.

Yes, we should. We are not just sure about the function. But, I guess there's nothing much difference.
