I want to sue Shakespeare

He wrote "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"
How many women have thrown acid at men? Ratio of women who have killed their lovers because of scorn vs. men who have killed their partners for same fault.
Ratio of raped women who have managed to castrate the men?
Is throwing acid less vicious a crime versus verbal expression of pain and anger?
Why hold that misogynist sentence of Shakespeare and throw it at others at drop of hat as if it is something from Bible?
Ironically, educated women too do it, to make others believe they have read his works and appreciate all his wisdom.
Hello...he was, after all, a writer inclined to add a lot of drama in his works. Get real.
I feel so grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr when they do it.
Edit: Thanks to UncleJoe I learned it was William Congreve and not Shakespeare. But most women refer to the quote saying it is by Shakespeare so I was mistaken. I apologize.

Those live in a pretend world, the ones who do the revenge end up in prison for all of their lives.

@andriaperry I'd have to try getting burned by acid first for comparison. I know how it feels at some part of the skin so thanks but no thanks.

Do not underestimate 'Women' dear. They are also very dangerous like men or more than them if they have any grudge in mind. I read so many real incidents, infact cruel things done by women. Shakespare or whoever, at least explained this way in their literary works.
Have you heard about the incident recently in Kerala against a Malayalam writer, who wrote something odd against women then dragged into controversies, Finally the novel withdrawn from the weekly. He and his wife suffered a lot due to the same, even their small daughter is also attacked. The government and other leaders supported the writer, telling he is free in his imagination, which was intolerable by the women.
The funny part is, the novel in a book form, sold off greatly among public. Just think about the public mentality.

In the age of Shakespear, I think women were better treated as compared to those of today.. Although, we will always find pros and cons of each era..

We have one such misogynist couplet by TulsiDas -"Dhol, pashu, shudra, ganwar aur Naari, ye sab hai Taran ke adhikari". That demeans a woman and is used by patriarchal minded people at the drop of the hat.
