I have Superior Intelligence! Hooray!

This morning I read a post on a Donald Trump Quiz. I thought that doing it would be a good way to wake up my brains because of its expected horror factor. Yet, on the way to it I got sidetracked and ended at a quiz on Intelligence.
The first and only time I took part in such a test was when I was a student which means about half a century ago. A student of psychology living in the same house had to learn how to conduct such tests. He needed a 'victim' and I was the first person crossing his path.
I have no idea if what he did was correct. After a lot of counting and murmuring he came up with an IQ of 116. I liked this result, but took it 'subject to correction' or 'with a grain of salt'. After all, he wasn't an expert (yet). Most people have an IQ between 85 and 115. So I'm just scratching at the door of ingeniousness if the result was correct.
It may have been correct indeed as the result of the online test I took today came up with the same number. Whether it's positive or negative that my IQ has stayed the same over such a long period of time is something I can't answer. Well, as I'm approaching the end of my earthly existence, it's good to know that my faculties are still in working order.
What I don't like much are mathematical tasks. When I see numbers, I become nervous. But obviously, I'm good at guessing. I've got some correct answers without being able to say how I got there. Geometrical shapes don't frighten me so much, I found nearly all missing pieces. I'm best with words and pictures and didn't make a mistake there. What I liked is that one can take one's time. There is no hurry. I couldn't do such a test successfully if a clock were ticking.
If you're interested in finding out how near you are to Einstein&Co. (Einstein was not the human being with the highest IQ ever but his name has become the synonym for 'genius'), you can go here:

I did the test and got 115 so I guess I am average. I hate the numbers. I was hoping to score much lower so then I could qualify to be president!

@MALUSE , I took the IQ test in French when I was a teenager. I don't know the number but the psychologist that talked to me later on, said he classified me way above the average.
I don't want to take it again now, as my brain has atrophied over the years, I can see a huge difference.

@MALUSE Lol, I was diagnosed at 142 at the army (there was an IQ test the first day of the military service), and for a soldier it is a serious disease, I had to sign them a paper telling that I was refusing forever to be trained to become an officer despite of all the advantages I would get. The medical students were less lucky, they could not refuse.

The last one I took I was in my early twenties and it gave me a 132 and it was conducted by teachers. I am going to take this one now! I want to see is I am still as bright as I was back them.
Oh and I love math and science.

My result was also broadly in accord with other tests I've taken over the years. I think that, many years ago, I took one of the official tests (rather than the kind that is published in newspapers and magazined), which also took into account the time taken to respond to a question, and the result was 140. This test gave me 139, which I was a little surprised at, since I feel that my faculties are somewhat rusty (if not diminished) at my age.

In general, they thought that intelligence was to predict success in life, studies and etc...
Today, it is sure not the only factor for success. There are emotional intelligence, social intelligence and more kinds of intelligence (or at least they are called intelligence), they are all part of the human. I don't take the test for a reason, I think that it doesn't matter. I will do what I can in my life, and will be satisfied with what I got.
Having some good friends, peaceful life is what I aim for.

I don't think that people seriously think that someone with a high IQ necessarily leads a successful life. Many other factors are necessary to do that.
Making the test is fun. You don't have to take it seriously and you don't have to talk about the result to anybody.

Often I would watch chess players do battle on the boards, gaining self confidence and pride when they won a match. It seems the higher the IQ, the more competitive and with chess if often shows. I took an IQ test at age 4 and it came out at 115 then. But after reaching 12th grade, another test was done and my IQ had dropped to 109, but many years later, perhaps a few decades, I took an online IQ test and remarkably, my IQ registered at 133. I do not think IQ tests are accurate and for that matter, memory plays a greater role as well does focus. Common sense also. Thomas A. Edison said genius was "1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration."

@MALUSE , Yes, that is what those chess players with the highest rating had, experience at the game. If you ever learn to play chess you will probably enjoy it. I myself do not enjoy the game that well. But a friend of mine, at that time, was an advanced chess player and he had a genius IQ of around 168, or so said his mother. He taught me how to play the game and won practically every game. But it didn't bother me, I knew he was a gifted person. So nothing was difficult as far as problem solving. I often wondered why he accepted my friendship as I was no where near his level of intelligence. But we were, in fact, good friends at one time.

I guess I will have to try and finally see how intelligent I really am. My mom thought I was pretty smart and I believe her.

I got 128 and that was with only one or two guesses.
