This has got to be the most romantic Country Song about true lasting love that leads to a life long committed marriage. Like the characters in the song, my parents wondered if it would work for my husband and I. We have been married 30 years and I still have feelings for him as I did.
For those here in long marriages, do you still have those feelings about your spouse like you did when you were young?
Can you say like the Mom in the song says to the Dad, "Katie looks at Tommy, like I still look at you"?

I am not a country music fan either. I do remember this song, though. My mom loved country music. I do love to listen to love songs that speak of relationships that last a lifetime. We need more music like that. I like "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley and "I See Jesus in You" by Dony and Reba McGuire.
