When The Water Is Too Much Than The Trees Can Hold

It cannot be denied. Its all over my Facebook's newsfeeds and updates... Floods! No thanks to last night's non-stop heavy rain. Too much water enter the houses, trapped vehicles in the national roads and overflowing water in rivers and canals. So many didn't sleep last night because they pray... pray the rain to stop and let their fear go away. That includes me. Are the trees not enough to hold too much rain? Or is it too much too handle? Government is very active with tree planting program. Or this is what they called climate change. The non stop rain since last Saturday is caused by monsoon. It was enhanced by typhons that is too far from our region but the monsoon pull this rain. And I would commend the post in facebook saying 'stay safe' and 'go to mass'.

the floods are the effects of people who throw their garbage anywhere, and those who cut trees(deforestation) for logging business. i hope the waters there will recede now

I think that it is climate change the is the culprit on all of these happening in our place. The rising of sea water is causing excessive water in our atmosphere creating more rains and stronger typhoons.

@ilocosboy That’s true. And the thing is we are causing it to happen to us. Human beings lust for oil and burning fossil fuels increased the warming of our planet and causing the ice from north and south to melt increasing water and vapor in the atmosphere which creates super typhoons. It’s all a chain reaction and we do not know how to reverse the situation yet. That’s the bad news in here.

Climate change is the real war these days and we are the soldiers to battle this.

The little thing we can only do now is plant trees as many as we can and resist using plastics.

When it rains water has to find a way to drain. The natural drainage system has been encroached upon by buildings and roads - siva

That's true, industrialization is also contributory to what is happening now.
