Hey everyone, I hope you're doing well today. Things are good here-God is amazing! His love is wonderful and I am so grateful for it. =)
Today has been a roller coaster kind of day. We found out about a house last minute today and we were so ready emotionally to go! We were excited and packed everything. We saw pictures and it was a lovely home. It needed some paint work and small repairs my husband was told-he would do those things for the move in fees. Perfect!
Then...the unthinkable happened. My husband went to check the house and it was NOTHING like the pictures! =( Apparently squatters were in there and they left a huge mess. Not only that but they were doing drugs in there and the place had bullet holes in the garage door. One of the neighbors told my husband if we have kids we do not want to live there since it was shot up a few days ago.
Disappointing of course BUT God saved us from possibly having one of our kids being shot-glad hubby saw the bullet holes and talked to the neighbor before moving us in!
We know God has something better coming for us soon.

@LovingMyBabies I bet. Why would they send pictures making it out to be a great place when it is not at all they must be desperate to rent the place out.

@Tina30219 They were trying to help us because we need a home but they admitted they haven't been to the place since 1994. They didn't know the condition it was in now, they assumed it was as they left it. But, that was far from the case.

Wow that is terrible, so dishonest of the landlord as well. I am glad that God saved you from this mess.

@BelleStarr The lady who owns it was trying to help us actually. She hadn't been there since 1994 and she wasn't renting it out-it was supposed to be empty but squatters took it over. =(

@LovingMyBabies Okay but it was a neglected house for over 20 years, how good condition did she think it could be in? Especially in Florida, I would be concerned about mold.

Oh what a rollercoaster but I admire your way of keeping positive. Of course it was disappointing, but so much better you found out about the unsafe nature of the place - now. God will lead you to the right place I'm sure
