Too many ripe fruit, red and sparkling in the backyard. Dragonfruit swason is here again. This morning I had to harvest these fruits because its irresistible to not to. They are hanging all over the dragonfruit posts. The photo above is what I harvested. Harvesting the fruit is easy. Hold them and twist and gently pull from the branch. Be careful the branches got many thorns. Dragonfruit is very rich in fiber and is good for diabetic people. It taste not so sweet but delicious. Be careful of its red juice because it easy to stain your skin and clothes. Next morning morning I will harvest those that I didn't pick this morning.

@ilocosboy there is a town up north that has so many dragon fruit trees. the trees really look like dragons because of the branches sprouting out from the trunks. i think they are not considered trees, am i right? here is my discussion about the dragon fruit that we had:
Happy first day of July my friends. Sunday is always a rest day. Even though I am at home because I am on standby mode, I enjoy being with you here. We are...

I just seen one on TV and it looks delicious indeed. I also saw different varieties of it from the red ones and there is also the yellow ones which I have not yet seen it so far. I always see the red variety on stores. It is said that it has adapted to our climate already since this plant is foreign to our country.

Here on Oahu, I've seen dragon fruit at Supermarket and shops at Chinatown. They sell usually for between 4-4.99 a pound. I buy Bai dragon fruit juice all the time for it's nutrition. Love it on sale, 1.66 for a 16 oz. plastic bottle or 1.99 regular price. Have a wonderful harvest and enjoy your dragon fruit!
