I am a science fiction nerd. I have never said I was anything else - well, crazy cat lady, but that's not too uncommon for SF nerds. And there are a lot of vid gamers in the SF community. However, there are actually few that play football vid games, certainly not at the passion level that takes you to something like this tournament. This killer wasn't part of the SF community. I doubt very much you will ever hear of an SF fan doing stuff like that. Most SF fans were bullied by guys like that, the "jocks" of the world. Honestly, no game is that important. No religion is that important. So, let us mourn those two people he murdered and realize that there are crazy people in all groups, but some members of any group might be just a bit more unable, or unwilling, to control themselves.

i don't get people who snap over games like that.FFS. my ex used to slam the controller when he lost and that was bad enough.

True, so very true. Its one thing for a child to do that, but adults should have more control over themselves.

This happened about 20 minutes from where I live. =( Such a sad thing and day yesterday. I have been praying for comfort for all who lost loved ones.

That's kind of scary. There are some people who just don't know the difference between "real" and "game."

I thought I read that he competed in the tournament and was steamed about losing..at least that is what USA Today had written. Yes RIP the people.
