Life is Improving

Great news! My brother was sent home Saturday after 1 1/2 days of rehab! He is better than when he was rushed to the hospital two weeks ago.
Our older son and his precious brood spent Sunday with us. Our younger son was away for the weekend with his bride and friends in Providence, Rhode Island, and returned in time to join us for lunch.
Our older son has a new SUV with 3 rows of seats, so we all visited our younger son’s new house, or the mansion, as his in-laws now call it. Boy, was I ever happy he had his new family room furniture ready for us to enjoy. His and his bride’s great taste, and our gift.
We visited an orchard and picked fresh apples, peaches, nectarines, and blueberries. The owner gave us a ride in the wagon and took the above photo, which she put on Facebook.
We had an early dinner at our house. Then the kids left to beat that rotten New York traffic.
Kuma, the kitty with cancer, had her stitches from her biopsy removed today by her daddy, our younger son. He should have been a doctor.
We had such a wonderful weekend. It was sorely needed.

I am so glad that life is improving for you Dianne. I had a terrible news yesterday, Willy has lung cancer and he is only 4 years old.
I had noticed the past few days that he almost did not eat and was very quiet, I blamed the hot weather. Poor boy, I love him so much.

@hereandthere We do not know, the vet cannot understand what happened. I have noticed he did not eat a lot the past few weeks, but I blamed the heat wave. He is so thin now. He moves slowly, he spend most of the time on a cushion that i have arranged on a chair under our porch. It's fresh and shady there. I am doing my best to make him feel comfortable.

The picture speaks for itself - a very happy and closely knit family.
Wow, it would be so nice to pick fresh apples, peaches , nectarines and blueberries. They are the fruits that are not indigenous here, though our country import apples specially Fuji apples.

Thank you! My son called and told us that they enjoyed the day with us. It was well needed fun for all of us. I know your country has fruits that we don't have. It's early for apples, but this farm had four varieties that were extra early and very delicious. I ate one right off the tree and then had a juicy nectarine and a few blueberries. I'm such a piggy!

Looks and sounds like a joyous weekend and you all look so great. Sorry to hear about your brother but that is really good news he is out and doing well. I love the Fall when you can do all the neat things like going to orchards and enjoying the harvest time.
