Celebrated 30 Years of Matrimony Today

Since both of us had to work today, our anniversary celebration today was muted. I did send my missus a beautiful bouquet of flowers that arrived at her office shortly after lunch. I did pick up dinner at Outback so we could have something special and neither of us would have to cook. And I did give her a necklace with a single pearl mounted on a sterling silver setting embedded with diamond chips.
What did my missus do for me? She left me a post-it note this morning on the Keurig wishing me a Happy Anniversary. No card, no flowers, no gift. no problem. I"m used to it. She decided years ago that the husband should spoil the wife upon their anniversary.
We did spend time looking at our Wedding Pictures and photos from our reception and honeymoon. While we enjoyed the good memories it was sad to see so many faces of relatives and friends who are no longer with us.

Happy 30! We've been married 52 years, and though it hasn't been a fairy tale, I wouldn't trade him.

It is good to see couples that last this long. I think the kind of couples like you have are becoming rarer with lots of separations that happen here and there. Congratulation on your milestone in marriage. Hopefully you will stay in love and respect each other more to stay stronger.

That is so wonderful! Happy anniversary, and may you and your spouse have more years of marital bliss. My parents will celebrate their 37 years of marriage this coming October. As someone who just recently got married, I find inspiration from them and from people like you and your wife who can look back and say that while it is not a bed of roses, it has been a good journey.
Next year in July would be my first wedding anniversary, and I hope to celebrate more anniversaries with my husband.

A month, tomorrow, will be the anniversary of having met my ex husband. A month, yesterday, would be when we married. The same day as his grandmother's birth.
Neither of these are things I celebrate, though it did take me a few years to recognize them without emotional pain.
Happy Anniversary to You and Your Other Half.
As for gifting, A nice meal is all I require. Though books wouldn't go remiss either.

Congratulations on your anniversary!
We were married about 6 weeks before you were, on Oct. 3, 1987.
And I was thinking about our anniversaries over the years earlier today.
I remember our second anniversary, we did not go out for supper that night, we couldn't really, we had a 10 day old infant that we didn't want to leave with anybody.
I did however have a flower delivery, which happens every year.
You're a good husband to do that for your wife, speaking as the voice of experience, we truly appreciate that act, and anything else you spoil us with goes over well, and looking back at the old photos is right up there too. Good job!

We had celebrated our 9th marriage anniversary 3 months ago we had decided no matter what on the anniversary will be together no matter how many years have passed by
We apply for the leaves for that day well in advance and if not approved we still make excuses and stay together
