Last night a moth flew in here..and disappeared somewhere. It resurfaced this morning with the cat in hot pursuit. When he was little he had a great time chasing and catching moth's. He would go to great lengths to chase them around and later eat them. Today, I think the poor thing was battered to death..but it didn't end up as a snack! Does your cat go after moth's if he sees them?

I have noticed that all the cats of the neighbors love to chase moths.

Butterflies too. I like butterflies though. Lavender had one in the house.

@LadyDuck We get some huge and I mean huge moth's around here. There was one that looked like a bird. It's wingspan from one side to the next was at least 6 inches. Thank God, that one never got in here. That would freak me out..It freaks me out when I see it outside.

@snowy22315 The moths are slower, they arrive to catch the moths, but most of the times they miss the butterflies.

I am sure he would love to be outside chasing things all day, but it isn't going to happen!

@snowy22315 Not with ours either. Saw too many of our neighbor's kitties get killed by cars and other animals.

Not my cat. But one time, Haiiro went after a frog and ended up at the vet's clinic for detox. He got poisoned.

You are lucky it was not worse..they can die from that. The Parvo virus gets into their system.

@snowy22315 Yes he was lucky. And I wasn't even home when that happened as I was away on a business trip but my maid noticed that Haiiro was getting weak so they rush him to the vet.

yeah all kinds of bugs. She doesn't eat them, but she "plays" with them.

Our cat used to but we don't have one now. I hate to see them being eaten. They don't look very appetising.

I would rather see a month bite the dust than some other critter, say one with a nervous systen! That is pEr of the reason M. Never goes outsude.

@snowy22315 To me, a moth is expendable too.

I keep my eyes closed whenever I see a cat trying to catch its prey. I don't like to see anything got killed. Thank God, we don't have a pet.
