What is your thought about this photo? I took the photo in the lobby of a radio station. It took my attention because of the head of the two two people; the one is microphone and the other is a revolver gun. My interpretation, its all about freedom of expression. The man in microphone head is a journalist or mediaman. But he is being threatened on his line of duty by some influential people. These influential people are controling the media or else they will be shoot. In my country so many journalists are being threatened and killed in performing their duties. I took the photo.

It is very dangerous indeed to be a journalist these days, especially if you are based in the province where influential people can easily threaten or kill a journalist.

@ilocosboy so sad for the victims! There's seems to be a culture of impunity for the perpetrators of such crime.

Journalism is a risky job if you choose to be an honest one. In our country, journalism has become a business,. very few journalist are there who are honest. Most to avoid risk have become loyal to influential politicians and people and there has become lobbies that manuplate news and play with psychology of citizens.

i'm not very sure how to interpret this.. i stared at it for like 5 minutes I'm confused if the media is being forced to pay or the media itself pays to interview the bad guys

Journalists take their life in their hands in some countries. However some can hound people much too much in my opinion.

You are right. It's alarming because there's already a number of journalists put to silence because of these people. If they can't silence these media men trough that bundled thing, they'll probably put to silence in that way.
