About My Christmas Jars

As I explained a lengthy while ago, I bought a crate of jars to fill and give as Christmas presents. However, I could not figure out, what item to fill with. So, I thought and thought. How about placing 3 to 4 biscotti in each jar along with some coffee? I am excited!

I've seen people make hot cocoa (dry) mix, Cake mix, even just holiday candies. All of these in jars. I am going to be making sugar scrubs and putting them in jars for gifts.

Sugar scrubs are such an easy thing to do, and there's so many different ways to scent and color them, too! I've seen some awesome projects involving painting and/or etching the jars, but even the plain ones can look classy with a simple bit of ribbon on them.

@yukimori I've seen people take cheap lace doilies, wrap them around the jar, and then spray paint or otherwise paint the jar. The pattern stays after the doily is removed.

Whatever you like to make or buy should be your filler, along with lots of love.

I save jars (recycle them) and then fill them with jam and other things to eat I make. Now that I´m older, I´m recycling smaller jars

That sounds like a great idea! I think whoever you're giving them to will like them.

Thank you! I would make the biscotti myself, but I would make a mess!

That sounds like a great idea! There are so many different things that can be done with jars like that, from bath items to treats to stationery and then some! If you need more ideas in the future, Pinterest is a fantastic source of inspiration. I'm partial to the one I'm linking... the personal touch of writing each thing in the jar out by hand is really awesome.
The Happy Jar. A homemade jar of individual sentiments on paper designed to cheer up a faraway loved one. Could make one up for a child who is a hesitant sleepaway camper or first time college student. This is from Our Army Life (according to the wife!): V
