The electric pole was five feet inside my plot of land and the cables were stretched over the whole length. They occupied almost 200 square feet of the land. It was 'disturbing' to any plan . I applied to the Electricity Department and paid the necessary fees about a month ago. I visited the office to remind the manager of my need. The department sent a group of workers the day before yesterday and they shifted the pole in four hours. I am glad now the disturbing pole is removed and I can proceed with my plan. Have you got any work of this kind done?

What is your 'plan' now that the pole has been shifted?

@franxav That's great but quite an undertaking. When do you think you will be able to start?

I'm glad they were able to do that for you. We don't have poles in peoples yards here.

I bought this plot of land. Unfortunately, this pole was there already. The owner used to run his water pump with the power.

Luckily we do not have anything like that here, as I am sure it would take a miracle to get it moved. Glad they did it for you.

Yes, quite a sizable part of land is free of the electric wires.

I am happy that in just 4 hours the pole was shifted. That was quick. But why do you have to pay the necessary fees? Was it because it was your request before that the pole should inside your premises.

As the electric wires occupied a sizable part of land I could neither plant trees nor build a house.
