Ten Movies I Wish I’d Never Seen: Thelma & Louise (#1)

The bad list is DONE! The final list, movies that have had massive praise and I’m glad I did see them, will be next. Meanwhile, here’s the final movie on the list of those I saw and really, really didn’t care for. #1: Thelma & Louise Hmm, honestly, this is NOT a “how many Harvey Keitel movies do I hate” list. (But then, he was also in Mother, Jugs, and Speed, And I didn’t care for that, either.) He kept his clothes on here, too, it it didn’t help me tolerate this movie. In fact, Charlie Sexton singing a John Hiatt song did little more than offer temporary respite. So this is supposedly the ultimate “chick flick,” huh? Hey, Bruce Jenner, can I have your used parts, then. The only thing I liked about this was when “the end” popped up. Well, and the inclusion of “Tennessee Plates,” one of my favorite John Hiatt tunes, and a great Glenn Frey tune (“Part of Me, Part of You”). Nonsensical to the nth degree. Louise kills a man who was trying to rape Thelma, and they run instead of giving the cops the explanation. Apparently, given how she doesn’t want to set foot in Texas, it’s a repeat of something that happened to her there earlier. They take the long way to Mexico, ending up at the Grand Canyon, and, with the cops behind them, drive off the cliff. Wish they’d taken the print of this film with them. I prefer The Ghost and Mrs. Muir as a great chick flick to this drivel. Apologies to those who like this movie. And to everyone, thanks for reading. Thelma & Louise Directed by Ridley Scott Released in 1991 Here’s the Hiatt song used in the movie:

I saw it but neither liked or disliked. More meaningful to women I guess. The movie that brought Brad Pitt major exposure.

I love the Ghost and Mrs Muir. I was in my teens when the series was on TV.

I was eight, and oh, did I have a crush on Edward Mulhare...... Both seasons are on DVD in Australia. I have a region-free DVD player, so I treated myself to them for my birthday a few years ago. The movie featured a young Natalie Wood (Mrs. Muir had one child instead of two). The relationship between Mrs. Muir and Martha was true friendship...not that the TV version wasn’t.

@dgobucks226 It just seemed a fun show - and Mrs Muir was a match for the Ghost who would have bullied her out of the house if he had had his way.

I enjoyed the movie although I didn't understand how they let things get the way they did. If they hadn't done things the wrong way I guess there'd be no movie, lol. I did get a kick of how they went out Wheeee!

I beg to disagree, it was a fun friendship film which I enjoyed. The actors in it were great and the plot though okayish was very well executed.

That’s okay. It’s like all forms of entertainment...personal taste.

I movie was ok when I saw it, but after reading your review maybe I missed something. Upon reflection, the movie started off as a mistreatment of women and ended up kind of like a Bonnie and Clyde car chase, huh? Brad Pitt I guess provided the comic relief or maybe eye candy for the ladies....
