Good morning, mylotters. I did not have a very good night yesterday. The dinner was nice but too late. I drank wine and everything was too heavy in my tummy. So I decided that I would not get up until I really wanted to. At some point I gave Luna her breakfast, but that was all. I then turned on the TV to see if there was something good to be seen. And when I was about to turn off the TV, at the Disney channel, there was my favorite Disney movie: Bambi. (1942) Ever since I saw it when I was a child, and every time I have watched it since then, I have found it perfect. Bambi´s childhood with his friends, his sweet mother and caring father are roles for children to look upon. Unfortunately, we can also see human beings as the worst predators. Have you seen Bambi? Do you like it? Do you prefer other Disney´s movies?

@LadyDuck For a moment, I forgot the end during the fire and I was afraid that Bambi would die. I even forgot that that does not happen in movies.

Me too. When Bambi loses his mother is heartbreaking.

I have seen it, but man, it's been years. BTW, I have also always like the short film, "Bambi Meets Godzilla." It's horrible, but makes me laugh every time I see it.
Bambi is contentedly nibbling the grass, seemingly unaware of his impending encounter with Godzilla. Written by Marv Newland.

I love Bambi and have seen probably all of the Disney movies. The newer ones have much better animation but the old classics are still worth watching.

I agree with you. As I have seen a lot of new Disney movies with my grandchildren, I am awed at the animation of some of them. But some of the old ones, like Bambi and Fantasy are worth watching all the time.

@JudyEv Me too. When I saw "The princess and the frog" I was invited by my daughter who was taking her youngest children. Carolina (then around 20) also went. I cried a lot when the sweet firefly is killed. I was very much ashamed when the light went on until I saw Carolina rubbing her eyes with a Kleenex.

I remember seeing "Bambi" in a theater in Balboa Panama around the early 1970s. I have also seen some of the recent Disney lovies like "Aladdin" and "Hercules".

I had my share when I was a child. Then took my children to the cinema and now, once in a while go with my grandchildren. But I hadn´t seen Bambi in decades.
