Every commodity is getting higher during the Duterte Administration. Honestly, my salary almost can't supply my family's needs. What's happening? Are we going to the right path? Philippines, Where are we going?

I have noticed that no matter who our president is, still our economy doesn't make any changes at all.

Words of wisdom. A lot of people depend on the government but the government, like humans, are very unpredictable. They might enforce this delay that, pursue this or broke this promise. I stopped being reliant on the government and politicians since they seem to care on themselves more than their campaign promises.

Simply, some of the Government adjustment makes a big impact on our lives. I hope they'll consider that.

Where are we going to, do you know? - Song Yes, everything is up now except for the salary. Our economy is not in a good situation. Who's to blame? There are factors and I won't just single out. Though the government made an effort to solve the problems, businessmen should also not just look after on their profits.

I like the tune of that song... Ha ha. I think you have a point but the Train Law that been shouldered to us by the government is just too difficult to carry.

@simplfred I'm not sure on this but there should be only minimal increase. I am really hoping that they could look out any possibility that these businessmen are using or abusing the law for surging the prices. There's significant increased in the rice prices already. This is alarming because it's one of the most important food for us. The saying that only rich get richer, and the poor became poorer maybe true after all. Before, when one ask a question when you get marry, there's this common reply that when rice price became 50/kilo.... That time yet is very far from being 50 and now, it's more than that.

@ZedSmart I will agree with you. Most are really abusing the law. When we asks the seller why the prices are too high? They'll simply say because of Train Law and it's the end of a conversation. I think many will get married now... Ha ha.

Still half term away. I'm hoping that he will change his priority. Most of his action is not helping the ordinary people. While we have the so-called 4P's, what about us who don't belong there?

@simplfred But I am thankful that I can take out more because the tax is not too much compared to previous years. Before I was deducted thousand, now hundred or less.

I don't blame the voters because politician has a great propaganda during campaign. The best thing to do now is to shout our angst in the order for the government to hear our voices.

That is the sad truth that we Filipinos are facing on right now. I am also thinking the same thoughts as I witness the slowly degradation of our economy where just two years ago our country was taunted to be the rising tiger in Asia but now we are being taunted as the sick man of Asia once again. The most disappointing about this are the ultra fanatic supporters of this government tries to paint and blind their followers that they are made to believe that our country is doing fine and is improving.

@simplfred Same here, I did not vote for him as well. But when he won two years ago I tried my best to understand his behavior and attitude but I could not accept it. I am just praying that something good would happen to our country and we would not be going down like what Venezuela is experiencing right now.

Very true, my friend. I did not vote for Duterte but if he is doing right I will be supportive to his administration but I can't see a good reason to support this guy. His character affected also his followers and it is very alarming. Filipinos used to be respectful, religious and with dignity but I don't what is really happening now.

@rsa101 I think hope is very far with this current administration. All he does is to silence his critics. I am not a pro-opposition, actually, I don't like the past administration also but the current administration is worse than the last one.

I left your country as a diplomat because it is a sinking ship. To see an election being controlled by some slutty blogger who makes fake news make me give up on a country I do love.

That is very scary. It isn't easy when things like this happened. We barely have enough money for two people. I hope things get easier and hopefully you don't have to sacrifice many things.

@simplfred We are going through a lot of that problem as well. Teaches us to not take something like food and water for granted.

Rich going richer...Poor going poorer. I guess that's what is gonna be...The thing with us Pinoys is that we always find time to smile even temporarily despite this hard times..but some solved it doing illegal ways to earn additional income, another crime done, haist....Let our prayers and hopes stay alive always...

Same here, in Romania. Prices went up 20 to 25% since the new elite is in power. The public salary went up to, but that raise was quickly eaten by inflation. Instead of becoming easier, our life is getting worse.
