This story that on you tube is very interesting I bet a lot of people do not know that maria was 22 when she married Captian Von trap and he was 47 that a 25 year age gap. but this story of the von trap family is very interesting.

I am so glad that they managed to escape the Nazis and lived to tell the story. I have seen the sound of Music in the Cinema its awesome to see it there. Very good Film too.

The Von Trapps escaped the Nazis in Austria and eventually wound up near Stowe, Vermont. Their descendants still live in the area and run a lodge there.

@eagletrek2 I learned their story long ago and have driven by their lodge, though I never stayed there as their prices tend to run higher than most places nearby.
