My Josie was lying next to me as I sorted some tops I bought yesterday. Her back was to me, so I decided to see if I could spook her. I snuck my hand up to her and quickly touched her back with my fingertips in spider formation. That poor cat went from 0-60 in .005 seconds, hit the window next to my bed and then reversed course when she realized she'd landed on my fan. I felt so bad, but was laughing so hard at the same time. I had to apologize to her. I had expected her to flinch, not launch! Have you ever apologized to your pet for anything?

I don't have a pet, but when I did sometimes there were times as you had...and it was hilarious. Yes I did apologize while laughing.

Oh yes, we have done things that might be viewed as cruel (my kids), but the whole time you're trying to rescue the poor things, you're laughing with tears it looked so funny. Still, I managed to keep them from a repeat performance.

@jerzgirl Then after when the little fur baby hears you laughing, they catch on and a different look appears on the little fur baby's face. Most of the time it's just as surprising to you as it is to the little fur baby.

@oahuwriter My Chloe used to get mad. Her ears would go back and her eyes would get black black. Same with my daughter's Tiki. She doesn't like being laughed at and walks off in a huff!

I like to tease them, but not nearly chase them through the window. But she's a good natured cat and started purring again shortly.

@lady1993 I haven't really had her long, only about a year. She was a street cat and I have kept her from going outside like she used to live. I don't tease her often because I don't want to lose her trust.

Ours get clingy when they get older. I'm not a fan of clingy. Part of what puts me off with dogs.

Do you feel bad if it seems to be more than you intended?
