Have you ever wonder what’s it like to live with a certain person. Well I live with someone that has bipolar. It’s a mental health disorder. Bipolar is when a person has an imbalanced or hormones which is why moods can change so quick. There is two types of Bipolar. Bipolar 1 is when a person mostly has lows meaning they are sad or depressive and only have one manic episodes (manic meaning they are angry and can get very aggressive) Bipolar 2 is when a person has had more then one manic episodes. I live with Bipolar 2. Meaning my husband can have manic episodes more then 1 time to the point of distractive. He has never hurt anyone because of this but he went many years not know what it was like to truly be happy. Till this last February he hit his lowest I was gone with the kids week on vacation he was home at work and just miserable. After that he told me he was going to see a doctor. Since then he has been so much better and learning that what he is feeling isn’t normal that he is bipolar and has an anxiety disorder as well. He is still working on the meds but we think we have found the happy balance in it all. Apparently being very sexual is a symptom of bipolar he never knew that till he talk to a doctor. A lot of things he felt and had experience was normal for a bipolar person and that probably someone else in his family has it as well and the doctor was very pleased he hasn’t used drugs to try to fix his feelings like many people try to. I’m glad he took the steps to make himself feel like a normal person. He asked me is this normal what people feel and tell him yes. He just never knew it. His head is much more calmer he isn’t trying to do 5 million things at 1 time.

I have a married daughter who has been diagnosed with BD a couple of years ago and is doing quite well on medication. I hope all goes well for your husband also.

I think Dr Mercola has some interesting info on what can help mental disorders like this.. It is a long list - ADHD or ADD Depression Autism Dyslexia Schizophrenia Bipolar disorder In some cases Epilepsy Other disorders You can find his site online, and these disorders might be due to lack of good bacteria in the gut - Lactic Acid Bacteria..They are also called Probiotic - Neolife.com has a good helper, Acidophilus Plus - I have tried it myself when I had a bad bacteria after antibiotic treatment. I was helped in about a month.. Even my doctor recommended it.. and I and many others are using, so it works! I can also buy probiotics in our food store, in a fruit drink and yogurts.
